Turnabout’s Fair Play

He had to be perfect. He stealthily crept through the tall grass towards his target. He could hear the soft snores and see a furry ear that occasionally flicked a troublesome insect away. So far, his objective had not moved. Closer, closer, he stalked without making a sound, afraid the least snap of a twig or crackle of a leaf would give his position away. Finally in position, almost on top of his unsuspecting target, he leapt.

“BOO!”

“What the!” the once napping victim yelled, jumping up. “Why’d you do that, InuYasha?”

“As Kagome would say, ‘turnabout’s fair play’, Runt.”

Spoiler: Manga chapter 480, “Last Words”

Last Prank

She’d done everything he’d ever asked, and how was she rewarded? She was ordered to sacrifice herself, and take InuYasha’s group with her. In the end, she realized that she did not want to die. She wanted to live, but unfortunately, that wasn’t an option. And so, she had done as she was told. She created an explosion of fragments of glass; one that should have killed everyone it reached by tearing their frail bodies to pieces. Kanna had done as told, but in the end, she would win. One of those splinters helped her inform Kagome of Naraku’s secret.

Spoiler: takes place after Manga Chapter 493, “The Two Worlds”

Uninterrupted

She couldn’t believe that she was about to do this. He’d finally confessed his feelings for her, but they’d been interrupted before she could kiss him. She silently closed to door to her room, careful to make not a sound to awaken the hanyou asleep on her bed. She crept towards him, uncertain if this was a good idea. The decision was made for her as he suddenly reached out and pulled her on top of him.

“What’cha doin’?”

“Sneaking up on you.”

“Trying to scare me?”

“Trying to kiss you.”

InuYasha smiled as she lowered her mouth to his.
